WOMEN’S SOCIETY MEETING

The first meeting of the OLF/IC Women’s Society will be on Thursday, Sept 11th at 6pm.  This meeting is our Potluck Dinner.  We would love to have you join us.  The Potluck Dinner is decided by the initial of your last name, as follows:

Appetizers:  A-F

Salads:  G-L

Entrée:  M-R

Desserts: S-Z

If you wish to join the Women’s Society, the dues are $10/yr.  We meet the 2nd Thursday of each month at 12 noon.  Come join us, we share friendship, food and do good deeds!

Join us at our 11th annual parish picnic and share this special day with your faith community.  Tickets sold after all weekend masses and at the rectory during office hours:  Adults $8 ($10 Sep 1-7); children under 6 years old are free, $40 maximum per nuclear family.  Please buy your tickets early because of food planning/buying.

On August 16, 2008 at 5pm Mass, Sophia Henderson McGarrah, daughter of Doug and Elizabeth McGarrah, received her First Holy Communion at OLF.

Time to start gathering items for the Fall Sale.  Priscilla and Loretta will have IC’s church hall open the following dates and times ---Sept. 1st, 3rd, 5th, 8th, 10th from 9:00-11:00am and Sept. 2nd, 4th, and 9th from 6:00-8:00pm.  In the meantime you may drop off items at IC only after mass, or contact Priscilla at 735-5833 or Loretta at 735-5790 for special drop off times.  (If anyone might be able to help for 1 hour the day of the sale or bake something for the sale, please let Priscilla or Loretta know as soon as possible!)
