VALENTINE’S DAY BAKE SALE!

Our Women’s Society sponsors a bake sale on this Saturday, Feb 13th and Sunday, Feb 14th after the masses at OLF to benefit Second Beginnings in Claremont.  This organization assists women in crises who have young children.

 

THE FOOTPRINTS OF GOD VIDEO SERIES

Every Monday beginning Feb 15 through Mar 29th from 7–9pm join us to watch and discuss this series of seven videos filmed in the Holy Land.  The videos follow salvation history from Moses to the early Church Fathers.  For registration & program location contact Carrie, 526-7795 or Richters@gmail.com.  This is free to attendees.

 
ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICES

Masses for February 17, Ash Wednesday, will be at Our Lady of Fatima at 9am and 12 Noon.  An Ecumenical Service with distribution of ashes will be held at 7pm.  Ash Wednesday is a day of fast and abstinence.

This time will begin with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, will include public prayer and silent reflection and end with Benediction.  We will pray for special intentions each week.  Eucharistic Adoration will also continue every Tuesday after Mass until 11am.  Come and experience the close presence of God.

 

FOOD FOR THOSE IN NEED

The season of Lent calls us to do works of loving charity, so our parish community will join together this year as the parish Youth Ministry collects needed food for the local Food Bank at weekend Masses: 

February 20 & 21 – Cereal

February 27 & 28 – Canned fruit

March 6 & & - Pasta and pasta sauce

March 13 & 14 – 100% fruit juice

March 20 & 21 – Peanut butter & jelly

March 27 & 28 - Soup

$6 for Adults - $3 ages 6-12; 5 and under free!

 
Loretta and Bill look for help in the following ways; Friday, the 19th at 6pm to help make meatballs, salad and garlic bread.  Saturday night 1 hour shifts; 5-6, and 6-7 to help serve and to help clean up from 7 until it’s done!  Also needed, at least 12 people willing to bake for the supper.  If you can help in any way, please call Loretta at 735-5790.
 
FREE INCOME TAX ASSISTANCE

AARP & the IRS are sponsoring free income tax preparation, with e-filing, for middle and low income taxpayers and the elderly.  The volunteers are available at Lake Sunapee Bank’s two locations.  For an appointment call Lake Sunapee Bank, NL 526-2535 or Andover 735-5923.

ST. PATRICK’S DAY DINNER
