Our Pastor - Father Robert Biron

Fr. Robert Biron has just recently moved into the parish and would like to offer any new parishioner the same welcome that he has received from the people of Our Lady of Fatima and Immaculate Conception.

His latest assignment was as University Chaplain at UNH in Durham and pastor of St. Thomas More in Durham. He hails from Berlin NH and went to high school and college in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. He received his undergraduate degree from Niagara University at Our Lady of the Angels Seminary in Albany NY and his Masters in Divinity from St. Mary's University and Seminary in Baltimore MD.

Fr. Biron was ordained for the Diocese of Manchester on May 25, 1974. He celebrated his first Mass in his home parish of St. Joseph in Berlin. After being assigned as associate pastor at parishes in Somersworth, Keene, Manchester, and Dover he was named Pastor at St. Bernard in Keene in 1987 and then moved back to the NH seacoast to become pastor at St. Martin Somersworth in 1996. After spending 5 years in Somersworth he went to Durham.

Fr. Biron has been Ecumenical Officer for the Diocese since 1999 and heads the office for Inter-Religious Affairs as well. He is currently President of the NH Council of Churches and is a member of the Jewish/Christian Interfaith Partnership in NH.

Pastoral Associate/Christian Formation Director - Cheryl Fitzgerald

Cheryl Dean Fitzgerald wears two hats in the parish. She is the Director of Christian Formation and also the Pastoral Associate. Cheryl and her husband, Carlton, moved to this area in 1983. Both of them were in public education until the birth of their fifth child. At that point Cheryl returned to school and received a Masters in Theology from Notre Dame College in Manchester, NH. She has been employed by this parish since 1993 and lives in New London.

Our Deacon - Greg McGinn

Greg McGinn is the Permanent Deacon assigned to Our Lady of Fatima parish. He and his wife, Allyson, have been members of the parish since 1987. They have both been involved in religious education, liturgy and marriage preparation. Greg began his studies for the deaconate in 1997 and was ordained in 2002. He also received a Masters degree in Theology from Notre Dame College in Manchester when he was ordained. Greg and Allyson met in college and both graduated from Niagara University in 1970. Greg spent seven years on active duty in the Army. After the military the McGinn's moved to Long Island. Greg was an investigator in the New York Attorney General's Office. He took a similar position in the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office. Greg also has a Master's in Public Administration from Oklahoma University. Greg retired from the Army Reserve in 1996. He and Allyson live in Sutton. They have five children and two grandchildren.
