PENANCE SERVICE

There will be a penance service at OLF on Monday, March 10 at 7PM.

 

LENTEN LITURGY

Every Wednesday from February 13th to March 12th, there will be a 7pm Mass at OLF. The theme will focus on the last words of Christ on the Cross.

Stations of the Cross

During Lent, the families of the children in the parish will provide a meatless meal for those attending Stations.  Dinner begins at 6 p.m. followed by Stations at 6:30.  The dinner schedule follows:

                         Feb 22 – Gr 3

                         Feb 29 – Gr 4

                         Mar 7 – Gr 5

                         Mar 14 – Youth Ministry.

FIRST EUCHARIST PARENT MEETING

First Eucharist Parent Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 4th at 6:30 p.m. in the parish library.

 

FOOD COLLECTION DURING LENT

The youth of the parish are assisting the NH Food Bank in collecting non-perishable goods on 4 Sundays during Lent.  Please bring the following items to church:  Feb 17 – peanut butter, Feb 24soup, Mar 2 – tuna, Mar 9 – non-perishables for our Easter baskets.

Loretta and Bill are looking for some help in the following areas: Friday the 22nd, from 6 -? pm in the IC hall, to help make meatballs and garlic bread, Saturday, 2 people from 5-6pm, 2 people from 6-7pm and anyone willing to help us clean up from 7--?.  Also, we need baked goodies for the dessert table.  If you can help out, please call Loretta at 735-5790 as soon as possible!

 

FREE INCOME TAX ASSISTANCE

AARP & the IRS sponsor free income tax preparation, with e filing, for middle & low-income taxpayers and the elderly.  Volunteers are available at Lake Sunapee Bank in NL 526-2535 ext.6122 or in Andover 735-5923.  Please call for an appointment.

 

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE

The Vermont/New Hampshire State Circle Daughters of Isabella are offering a $600 scholarship to a college bound student.  Application forms and information may be obtained by calling Priscilla Desrochers at (603) 623-7525 or by contacting a local Daughters of Isabella Circle.  Application deadline is April 1st.
