Then the angel said to the women in reply, "Do not be afraid! I know that you are seeking Jesus the crucified. He is not here, for he has been raised just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples, 'He has been raised from the dead, and he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him.' Behold, I have told you." - Mt 28:5-7

Dear Parishioners,

Unlike Mary Magdalene, you are seeking what you have already found.  You have been knocking on the door from the inside.  Happy Easter!  You are seeking after the One who fills your life right now and you will meet Him disguised not as a gardener, but in the events and the people He sends to you.  You will find Him, Risen Lord, in the simple sacramental gifts of bread and wine where He daily repeats these words, “Touch me and taste me and know the glory of my Presence“…You will find Him, not sitting by the lake fishing and preparing breakfast for His disciples, but in those who need to hear a message of life through you…the hope that God in Christ is with us NOW, those whose world is darkness.

Hopefully these forty days have led you to some new resolve in your life that you can take with you into the Easter season and beyond.  We will always be sinners searching for the Risen Christ, but the good news is that He always lets Himself be found if we know where to look.

After a long, snowy winter, Easter Joy to you!  He is truly Risen.  Let His Face shine on your radiant for having received Him in Eucharist!

Welcome to Barbara Baltuth and Noelle Bassi!  You join us in our journey to Christ.  Strengthen us with our prayers and may the oneness we share in Eucharist overflow in love, a love made real by the Body of Christ.  Two more voices joined to ours in singing,   “Alleluia”!  Happy Easter!

Fr. Bob
