PROGRAM ON THE HOLY LAND

Come to the OLF Library on Monday, October 5th from 7 to 8pm, to join Carrie Richters, who recently took a pilgrimage to the Holy Land.  See some pictures, and hear about the awe inspiring experiences of walking where Jesus walked, taught, died and rose again!

CRAFT SESSIONS

Craft sessions have begun for the Holiday Fair and are being held at OLF hall each Wednesday at 9:30am.  If you’re unable to join us, please knit, crochet, etc a masterpiece at home.  Let Jean LaChance (927-4345) know what wonderful creations you are making.

WOMEN’S SOCIETY

On Thursday, October 8th join the Women’s Society in the parish hall for our first monthly meeting beginning at noon.  Our speaker will be “The Lady of the Hats”.  Let’s come together for lunch and friendship.

HOLIDAY FAIR

We are collecting jewelry, scarves, evening bags and gloves for this November 14th event.  Donations may be placed in the designated basket at the entrance of the church or contact Norma Gosselin, 763 4459 or Bea Stedman, 526-6872.

ANNUAL GIGANTIC PENNY SALE

The fun begins when the doors open at 11 on Sunday, October 11th at St Mary’s Gym, Main St in Claremont.  Door prizes galore, special raffles, bake sale and, food concessions!  This all benefits St Mary’s Parish.

U.S. NAVY 234TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

All area Navy veterans, active duty & reservists are invited to attend the Birthday Celebration at LSCC on Tuesday, October. 13th.  Reservations prior to October 6th are required.  Call Phil O’Brien (568-2014), Frank Duffy (526-5820), Tom Doran (526- 2097) or Bob Morris (763-5859) for details.

Tran Gerard McHugh was baptized into our faith on Saturday September 26th after the 5pm mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church.   Keep Tran and his family in your prayers along with all the newly baptized, and their families.

WHO ARE THE FRIENDLY VISITORS?

We are a group of people from OLF and IC reaching out to fellow parishioners.  We try to provide support in the following ways; a visit, emergency meals, church transportation, phone calls, and cards (thinking of you, get well, birthday, anniversary, etc.)  If you know someone who might need our services, call the office, (526-4484) or one of the following:  Erle Blanchard 526-4009, Jackie Canton 526-6554, Pauline Kangas 526-9492, Paul & Ann Linehan 526-6787 or Sue O’Neill 763-5627.

Jesus invites, each and every person to come and spend quiet time with Him present in the Blessed Sacrament.  Adoration is held Tuesdays from 9:45am to 11am at Our Lady of Fatima Church.

MOMS FOR LIFE PLAYGROUP

We meet Wednesdays from 10:15 to 11:45 in the parish hall.  Our time includes praying, playing and eating.  Bring snacks and pack a lunch.  If you have questions, call Teresa at 526-4675 or Danielle at 526-2632.
