VOCATIONS PRAYER CHALICE

The Serra Club (lay people dedicated to fostering priestly vocations) is sponsoring a Chalice Program.  A family agrees to receive a chalice in the home for a week as the focal point of prayer for vocations to the priesthood.  It serves as a reminder to pray for an increase of vocations.  If interested, please call Joan Broom at 763-9772.

 

MEN’S CLUB

The Men’s Club will meet on September 8, 2009 at the New London Fire Station at 7pm.  Chief Lyons will give a presentation, answer questions and provide members with a tour of the station, the main pieces of apparatus, and the fireboat and there will be some equipment demonstrations.  PARKING:  use the ample Elementary School parking lot right behind Chadwick’s and the fire station.  Bring a friend and potential member.  Refreshments served.

 

WOMEN’S SOCIETY MEETING

Come one come all.  The first meeting of the OLF/IC Women’s Society will be on Thursday, September 10th at 6pm.  This is our Potluck Dinner meeting.  We would love to have you join us.  The initial of your last name decides the Potluck Dinner, as follows:

MOMS FOR LIFE PLAYGROUP

We meet Wednesdays from 10:15 to 11:45 in the parish hall.  Our time includes praying, playing and eating.  Bring snacks and pack a lunch.  If you have questions, call Teresa at 526-4675 or Danielle at 526-2632.

 

On Sunday August 23rd at the 10:30 mass, we welcomed Madelyn Anne Beaudry into our faith.  Keep Madelyn and her family in your prayers along with all the newly baptized, and their families.

IC holds its annual rummage sale on Saturday, Sep 19th.  So gather up those possessions to donate to the sale.  You may drop off items after Mass or call Loretta at 735-5790 or Priscilla at 735-5833 if you need special drop off times.  IC will be open to accept your donations Sep 7, 9, 11, 14, & 16 from 9 to 11am and Sep 8, 10, & 14 from 6 to 8pm.  If you can volunteer 1 hour on the day of the sale and/or bake something for the sale, please let Loretta or Priscilla know.
