MISSING FROM IC

If you borrowed the brown 5ft table from IC, it is time to bring it home.  Thank you!

Dear Parishioners,

Thanks to all who donated food and labor, picking up food from Hannaford’s at 7 in the morning, packing the food into boxes, delivering food and of course, to those who donated money.  The money was GREAT.  I told you what little I had and you gave.  The Cookie Man and his sweet wife made bags of cookies for 50 boxes.  Such devotion from all of you shows your love for your fellow man.  You provided food for 122 adults and 100 children.  I never doubted for a minute that you’d come through and make everything work out.  It was, and is, a labor of love.  Thank you all!

~Anna

KLS COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY UPDATE

Area churches & civic groups established the Kearsarge/Lake Sunapee Community Food Pantry for our neighbors.  We’d like to share these updates with you:  We are compiling simple recipes to give our clients using the food pantry ingredients; we had a freezer donated and purchased an almost new refrigerator.  Thank you for your prayers & support.

This $1,000 award is given to one or more graduating high school seniors going on to higher education and who have shown involvement in the parish.  If interested, fill out the form (available in the church office and high school guidance offices) and return it by April 30.  If you have questions or need more info, call Carrie Richters, 526-7795.

FOOD FOR THE POOR

A representative from FFP will speak at the masses on the weekend of May 2/3.  The second largest international relief and development agency in our country, FFP does more than simply feed the millions of hungry poor in 16 countries of the Caribbean and Latin America.  Since 1982, FFP has provided clean water, medicines, educational materials, homes, support for orphans and the aged, skills training and emergency, with more than 96% of all donations going directly to programs that help the poor. Visit http://www.foodforthepoor.org/.  The Lord Jesus reminds us “Whatsoever you do to the least of my people, you do unto me.”
