The Friends of New London Hospital has requested help from local churches by asking parishioners to donate baked items.  Drop off your items on Saturday, Aug 8th between 8 & 9 a.m. at the Bake Sale tent. MEN’S CLUB “KICKS-OFF” THE NEW CLUB YEAR

The IC & OLF Men’s Club will inaugurate the 2009-2010 Club Year by holding a no-cost cook-out on Thursday, August 13th at the Hill Top Community Center.  The event, which will start at 6pm, will feature your favorite barbecue and beverages.  Male parishioners 18 years and older who are interested in joining the Club are invited to share an enjoyable evening.

 

VOCATIONS PRAYER CHALICE

The Serra Club (lay people dedicated to fostering priestly vocations) is sponsoring a Chalice Program.  A family agrees to receive a chalice in the home for a week as the focal point of prayer for vocations to the priesthood.  It serves as a reminder to pray for an increase of vocations.  If interested, please call Joan Broom at 763-9772.

ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

Bishop McCormack invites all couples celebrating their 25th, 30th, 35th, 40th, 45th, 50th or beyond Wedding Anniversary, anytime during 2009 to a special Anniversary Mass on October 11th at 2pm in St Anselm Abby Church, Manchester.  Please call or mail to the rectory by August 14th the name and address of the anniversary couple indicating their special anniversary, as well.
