CHRISTMAS FOOD BASKETS

Dear Parishioners,

Christmas is just around the corner and we have our needy families to feed.  I could not believe the bill for the Thanksgiving Baskets!  It was over $1,667.00 but I had been collecting money since the 4th of July so was able to pay for it.  I don’t have that much time to collect for these baskets and we have more families.  We would like as much non-perishable food as you can possibly supply and of course, MONEY!  We need lots of MONEY!  We need your support now more than ever.  If you put a check in the collection box it must be in an envelope with Food written on it or it goes into the general collection.

Join us in parish library on Friday, December 19th at 9:45AM immediately after the Communion service. to listen and learn about Dorothy Day.  Most know her as the founder of the newspaper The Catholic Worker, but it was her deep commitment to social justice that allowed her to fulfill God’s plan for her life.  She tirelessly lived through example by working and walking among the poor.  For additional information, please call Joyce Catrambone, 526-2672.
