MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST

While they were eating, he took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, and said, "Take it; this is my body." Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, and they all drank from it. He said to them, "This is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed for many."

FOURTH OF JULY FUNDRAISER

This event will be held at Proctor Chapel in Andover.  Loretta & Bill leave for vacation on June 20th so, help needs to be lined up before then:  Picking strawberries at Spring Ledge on Thu, July 2nd at 7AM, cleaning them on July 3rd at IC at 1pm and help serving shortcake on the 4th of July.  If you can help in any of these areas, call 735-5790.

We celebrate Flag Day on June 14th every year.  Saluting is one way to honor “Old Glory” and the values it represents.  To salute, come to attention. Those in uniform give the appropriate formal salute. Citizens not in uniform salute by placing their right hand over the heart and men with head cover should remove it and hold it to left shoulder, hand over the heart. Members of organizations in formation, salute upon command of the person in charge.

SAFE ENVIROMENT

Child sexual abuse is a crime in the State of New Hampshire and the Church.  New Hampshire law requires that anyone who has reason to suspect that a child is being or has been abused or neglected must make a report to the Division for Children, Youth & Families (DCYF) of the State of New Hampshire, 1-800-894-5533.  Any person who suspects or alleges child abuse on the part of a priest, deacon, employee, or volunteer of a parish, school, or institution of the diocese of Manchester is also encouraged to make a report to the Office for Ministerial Conduct, 669-3100.

Church personnel-clergy, paid employees, and volunteers- have additional reporting requirements if they believe that Church personnel have sexually6 abused a child.  To learn more about the reporting requirements, see Diana Ginter, the safe environment coordinator for our parish, or the diocesan website under Child Safety at www.catholicnh.org.
