13TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIMES

He took the child by the hand and said to her, "Talitha koum," which means, "Little girl, I say to you, arise!" The girl, a child of twelve, arose immediately and walked around. At that they were utterly astounded.

CHALICE PROGRAM

The Serra Club (lay people dedicated to fostering priestly vocations) is sponsoring a Chalice Program.  A family would agree to receive a chalice in the home as the focal point of prayer for vocations to the priesthood.  A chalice in placed in the home for a week.  It serves as a reminder of our responsibility to pray for an increase of vocations.  If interested, please call Joan Broom at 763-9772.

WE WANT YOU!

Yes indeed!  A lot still needs to be done and this is Loretta’s last-ditch effort to recruit help!  She needs to know she can count on you for our annual Strawberry Shortcake Fundraiser event.  Leave your name and number at Loretta’s, 735-5790 telling her that you can help pick strawberries early on July 3rd, clean them afterwards at IC or serve shortcake on July 4th at Proctor.  Call Loretta before July 3rd to confirm strawberry picking schedule.  Many hands make light work!
