WORLD COMMUNITY DAY

Women of all ages please join us for lunch at noon on Friday, Nov 7 in the OLF hall, soup and dessert provided.  A speaker will present on prison ministry.  A short prayer service follows.

THE PILGRIM’S JOURNEY

Choir members from Our Lady Fatima and the First Baptist Church will perform this cantata by Ralph Vaughn Williams on Sunday, Nov 11, 2008 at the FBC in New London at 4pm.  In early October the 100th anniversary of the birth of the famous British composer was observed.   Please plan to attend.  A free will offering will be received.

Jewelry:  Scarves, evening bags, gloves are now being collected.  Please place donations in the designated basket at the church entrance or contact Norma Gosselin at 763-4459 or Bea Stedman at 526-6872.

Books:  We need books!  Please put them in the closet at the back of the church hall.  (Please NO Readers Digests, National Geographic, encyclopedias or computer books, as they just don’t sell).

1 lb Coffee Cans with lids may be left in the kitchens at OLF or IC.

 
 
Our parish welcomed Abby Grace and Olivia Erin James Bentzler to our faith community on Sunday, October 19th at the 8:30 mass in Immaculate Conception church.  Remember the newly baptized and their families in your prayers.
