CROP WALK SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21ST

Our interfaith community will be walking around Pleasant Lake to raise awareness and money for the hungry Call Carrie Richters 526-7795 for a pledge envelope.

 

Friends of NL Hospital will sponsor the American Red Cross’ Community Blood Drive at OLF on Monday, Sep 15th from 1 to 6pm.  Remember to bring your photo ID.  Presenting donors receive a coupon for a free carton of Friendly’s Ice Cream

 

CRAFTS

Bring your creative self to a craft session on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 in the parish hall.  Join the crafty people as they have fun making holiday projects for one of our biggest fundraisers! 

 

HOLIDAY FAIR

We are collecting jewelry, scarves, evening bags and gloves for this annual November event.  Kindly place donations in the designated basket at the church entrance or contact Norma Gosselin at 763-4459 or Bea Stedman at 526-6872.

You are invited to join Bob Bausch’s family and friends to a surprise 80th birthday celebration after 10:30am Mass on Sept 21.

 

Cub Scout Pack 71 is open to all boys from 1st Grade up to 10 years of age.  Plan on joining the Pack on Tues, Sept 16th at the New London Elementary School Library between 6 and 8pm.

 

Boy Scout Troop 71 is open to all boys ages 11 through 17.  The Troop will have an open house on Wed, Sept 17th at the First Baptist Church in New London.  The Troop meets from 7 to 8:30pm.

MUSTERFIELD FARM’S HARVEST DAY

We will be making PIES on the 4th of Oct. to be sold at Musterfield Farm’s Harvest Day on the 5th of October.  All help will be greatly appreciated.  We will be in the OLF kitchen from 8:30am on that Saturday.  Please come to help us make the pies and join in the fun.  Thank you, Julie Canuto.

 

CHOIR

The Choir of OLF/IC welcomes new members.  Rehearsals are held regularly on Wednesday evenings @ 6:30pm at OLF.  If you enjoy singing, please come and join the choir.  The next rehearsal will be Wed, 9/17 @ 6:30pm in the hall of OLF.

 

INSTRUMENTALISTS

We would like to involve the use of a wider variant of musical instruments at liturgical celebrations.  If you play the flute, violin, or oboe and would like to play at the liturgies from time to time, please contact Paul Gorman @ 526-4353.
