Loaves and Fishes

Our Background
The Loaves and Fishes ministry has been in existence since 1993. It is staffed by volunteers and funded by the parishioners of Our Lady of Fatima and Immaculate Conception Churches. Typically, 160 families are assisted by this group each year.

The Loaves and Fishes Ministry is devoted to assisting those in need. This program principally serves residents in the communities of: Andover, Salisbury, Bradford, Springfield, Danbury, Sunapee, Elkins, Sutton, New London, Warner, Newbury and Wilmot.

Our purpose is to respond to non-emergency requests for help in a confidential, timely, respectful and non-judgmental manner. We help provide financial assistance to residents in our communities, regardless of religious affiliation. We collaborate with civic agencies and other religious organizations, such as the Kearsarge Regional Ecumenical Ministry, to give quality services to persons in need.

Primary types of assistance offered include:

  • Utilities: home heating fuel/ electricity/ phone
  • Short term food and clothing needs
  • Other requests on a case-by-case basis

  • Information and/or referral to area agencies or organizations for assistance
